Tiko's Daydream Music Video

For my music video I created an advertisement for a company who makes bracelets out of ocean plastic. In this video I wanted to present the company as a fun, colorful brand! I choose music by a Korean artist who's song is upbeat and happy. I keep each portion of the MV short, so that the audience doesn't get bored. Overall, I am very happy with how it turned out. I will include this project in my Graphic Design portfolio, though I may still make some edits.

Week 1: In this week, I decided which brand I want to work with and created a story line. Originally, my music choice was Alright by Janet Jackson so I pace any moving graphic I made to that beat.

Week 2: I changed my music choice to Jhope's Daydream, as it is written in the same time measurements as my original song. I started drawing animated backgrounds, but scraped that idea because I didn't feel like it was the aesthetic I wanted. I began making transparent for all 16 bracelets from the front, back, and in the box. 

Week 3: I began collecting other assets and started putting graphics in motion. I was trying to think of new ways to show things, and how to make these images interesting. I made each section of motion graphic into a mini video to export into premiere where I would stitch it all together.

Week 4: I extracted the artist/dancer from his original music video so I could use the dancing shots. No background were include because I want an entirely new music video. I began to sync the artist with the music and also blend the music as best as I could where I had made edits.

Week 5: I stitched all the film together and filled in the gaps that I had in my timeline. Here I refined the timing, and made cuts to the footage. I added in transitions, transparent, and special effects. 

Week 6: This week consisted of working on getting more content to meet the 2 minute requirement. I made final edits and reordered some of the clips.
