Project 2_Marcus Aiken
First I created some of my assets, the ufo, background, and the larger stars in photoshop, and animated them using the timeline. I chose to do pixel art because it's simple and doesn't require too much experience. I didn't screenshot but I also made other versions of the ufo and created the comet and background stars.
Then I moved to after-effects to stretch out the animations I created and put them together for a test run. I went to youtube and looked for a "futuristic or space type beat" to go with the space theme I had going. I also rendered the stretched versions of the animations so they could all have their own layer in premiere pro in case I wanted to move them.
Premiere Pro is better for syncing sound up with your animations than after effects. I lined up the comets flying across the screen with a key sound in the background. When the piano part of the beat picked up the lights on the ufo flash and when the base picked up sometimes a planet would come up.
